What is a Precinct Caucus?

The DFL Party uses precinct caucuses and conventions to endorse candidates and to debate and set the issues the Party will stand for. The precinct caucus is a meeting for people who live in one precinct to discuss candidates and issues, and to elect delegates to attend the ward convention, where they will vote on endorsing candidates and issues.

When are Precinct Caucuses this year?

Precinct Caucuses are on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in the evening.

The Ward convention is the second step in the process. The Ward 11 convention is on Saturday, April 29, 2017, and will start in the morning. Save the date!

Where are caucuses held?

Your precinct caucus will take place in or very near the precinct you live in. Exact caucus locations will be made available ASAP.

Who can attend their Precinct Caucus?

Any Ward 11 resident who will be eligible to vote by election day can caucus. This includes 17-year-olds who will turn 18 by election day on November 7, 2017.
